Best booster seat for eating
Your child’s development continues to charge along when she turns two years old. This is an exciting period—yet stressful at times because there is a lot going on in the major areas such as toilet training, transitioning from a baby crib to bed, and dealing with tantrums. The good news is that mealtimes should get easier now that your child has plenty of experience feeding herself and is familiar with a variety of foods.
Children between 2 and 3 years old are super active and will need nutritious foods during every meal to keep up with their high-energy requirements. You can still expect to provide your child with at least 1,000 calories per day, and if your child is participating in an outside activity in addition to the usual activities, consider providing 200 more additional calories. Offer snacks consisting of protein and unrefined carbohydrates, such as whole-wheat pasta, to sustain energy levels until the next meal.

Booster seat for eating Description
Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat for eating
Great price, durable, easy to clean (unlike a cloth high chair), and grows with your child. High quality at very affordable price. It is like a travel version of the Healthy Care Highchair. It also doesn’t take up much space and can be put on a regular chair, and then folded up for use at restaurants or other homes.
There is an adjustable feeding tray that can be put in the dishwasher. It has a cup holder and snaps right on to the main (blue) plate. Very easy to clean and sanitize, no fabric to worry about and it can be washed too.
There are three different height settings. This is perfect for traveling because different tables can be different heights. The back of the car and the trays are removable, turning the seat into a booster for older or larger kids.
The seat is all one piece, and there are no seams or crevices for meat to get stuck in. It also gets the seat very comfortable to clean. The seat has a three-point seatbelt that adjusts so that it can accommodate a growing newborn and toddler. The booster folds up and even has a shoulder strap to make it simpler to travel with. There is a lid that snaps onto the feeding plate. It is also dishwasher safe.
There are straps on both sides and the back of the seat. This makes it much simpler to fit onto a variety of chairs. This is great, especially when eating out. However, if you are going to do it before your child can hold their body up well, you will need to put rolled towels on the sides to keep them from leaning to one side too much. This is a great chair for 7 or 8 months+ until your child continues to need a booster seat, but not so great for the first few months of eating.
Summer Infant Deluxe Comfort Folding Booster Seat for eating
This chair is an alternative to space and other items of the same nature. It is a means to an end, and it allows you to Feed your baby/child without the hassle of a big bulky Highchair in your kitchen. It is PERFECT for traveling with an infant, easy to set up and take down.
It works great, was super cheap, lightweight and very compact. The adjustable height and that it folds up so small and light for traveling. Relatively portable and simple to clean. Folds a little smaller than the Fisher Price model
The seat itself is of course plastic, but overall it seems durable enough and will do the job. The plastic eating tray has an easy to clean smooth top, can be taken off completely and is dishwasher safe. Also, it is pretty easy to clean since it is mostly plastic. You can spray down and throw the padded back in the washing machine. Easy to clean, adjust straps and seems comfortable enough for my baby even though it has little padding. The cover is simply taken off for washing, and it laundered very well.
Some straps hang from underneath the seat which clips underneath your chair. There is also a belt on the back of the head which attaches to the back of your chair which aids in keeping the seat secure as well. The crotch strap is long, and it just doesn’t seem safe
The best thing about this seat is the way it all folds together & it is portability. The legs which can be used to give the position more height, fold out from underneath & lock in place. The seat back folds down onto the seat bottom & the arms fold in to make the whole unit slim. The arms also have excellent hand holds for the adult.
